এক ব্যাগ আনন্দ – ৩ হাজার পরিবার

আলহামদুলিল্লাহ!সম্প্রতি ঘোষিত Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2021 এ ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি বাংলাদেশ থেকে Ranking প্রাপ্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোর মধ্যে #১ম স্থান অর্জন করেছে।নিঃসন্দেহে এই অর্জন ড্যাফোডিল পরিবার এবং বাংলাদেশের জন্য গর্বের ও আনন্দের। আর এই আনন্দ উদযাপন করতে অনেকেই হয়ত অনলাইন কনসার্ট কিংবা সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করতে অনুরোধ করেছেন। কিন্তু পবিত্র রমজান মাস এবং করোনা মহামারির পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনা করে আমরা আমাদের এই সাফল্যের আনন্দটুকু ৩০০০ (#তিন_হাজার) দুস্থ ও অসহায় পরিবারের সাথে ভাগ করে নেওয়ার উদ্যোগ হাতে নিয়েছি। আশা করছি আমাদের এই উদ্যোগ বাস্তবায়নে আমাদের প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থীসহ সকলের দোয়া এবং সহযোগীতা আমাদের সাথে থাকবে। আমরা কি পারি না আমাদের যে কোনো অর্জন বা আনন্দ উদযাপন এই ধরনের উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে আরো বেশী অর্থবহ করে তুলতে যাতে আমাদের সমাজ, দেশ ও জাতি উপকৃত হয়।

The actual happiness of any success or recognition can be found when it is shared with others or if we can mark that day with another good initiative through a special act of goodness by doing a kind deed and something that we did not do before. A Bag of Happiness is such an initiative that Daffodil International University is going to take in celebrating the happiness of achieving the Top Position in Bangladesh in the recently announced Times Higher Education Ranking and getting placed amongst the 300 Universities worldwide. It is an honor and pride moment for the DIU Family and for Bangladesh too. In celebrating this prestigious recognition, we received the request for Organizing Concert and other events, but considering the holy month of Ramadan and COVID 19 situation, we thought to share the achievement with the art of celebration and we took the initiative to make it more memorable through distributing 3000 bags of happiness with 3000 families. Our objective is to do something which may have an impact on society and also create value and art in any celebration through the Art of Celebration. We request support and cooperation of our beloved students, staff and faculty members, to make it another example of success of DIU family.
