Daffodil International University, United Nations Information Center (UNIC), Dhaka, and Management and Resource Development Initiative (MRDI) jointly organized a mass signature collection program as a part of their Anti Tobacco campaign on “World Tobacco Free Day-2011” on May 28, 2011 in front of Daffodil International University at 10.00am.
Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest. Mr. Kazi Ali Reza, In-Charge, UNIC, Dhaka AND Mr. Hafizur Rahman Mukur, Executive Director, MRDI, Professor Dr. Aminul Islam, Emeritus Professor, Daffodil International University were present as the special guests.
A 650 feet long Banner has been kept for collection of Signature on it. All walks of people including students of different universities and college, men & women, young & old enthusiastically signed on the banner. This banner will also be kept in front of National Museum on May 31, 2011 during the seminar on “World Tobacco Free Day”.
