On July 14, 2019, the National Finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup- Bangladesh was held in the 71 Millonaiton in Daffodil International University where Sigmind captured first prize at the national finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup competition. Again EduBlock holds the 1st runner up and HelloTask is the 2nd runner up.

The winner will represent Bangladesh at the EWC international final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in November 2019. In addition, the team will be awarded an in-kind prize package valued at US$500,000 that includes essential business advice, guidance, and services from corporate leaders such as Oracle, Google Cloud, Shopify, Slack and Stripe, thanks to Misk Foundation and GSVLabs.

The jury of the competition included five experts from Bangladesh including Shawkat Hossain, Managing Director, BD Venture Limited; Tina Jabeen, Investment Advisor, Startup Bangladesh, ICT Ministry, Govt. of Bangladesh; Bijon Islam, CEO, LightCastle Partners; Nirjhor Rahman, CEO, Bangladesh Angels; Shezami Khalil, Marketing Director, Shohoz

More than 102,000 contestants from 184 countries entered the Entrepreneurship World Cup. The initiative combines a broad-reaching pitch competition, aimed at ventures ranging from the idea stage to the growth stage, with a virtual accelerator program to help all participants launch, strengthen and scale their enterprises. Global Finalists will face off against one another at the Misk Global Forum ahead of Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2019.
