5th Academic Council Meeting of Daffodil International University (Under purview of the private University Act-2010) was held on July 13, 2013 at the Board Room of the University. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University presided over the meeting. Members of the Academic Council of Daffodil International University Prof. Dr. M. Kabir, Former Teacher of the department of Statistics, Jahangirnagar University, Brig. General (Retd.) M. Mofizur Rahman, Prof. Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman, Treasurer, Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Director (Studies), Prof. Dr. S. M Mahabub-ul Haque Majumder, Dean, FSIT, Prof. Dr. Golam Rahman, Dean, FHSS, Prof. Rafiqul Islam, Dean, FBE, Prof. Dr. Shah Md. Karamot Ali, Dean, FAHS, Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Executive Director, HRDI, Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Golam Maowla Choudhury,Controller of Examinations,Professor Dr. Shusil Kumar Das, English Department, Mr. Mohammed Emran Hossain, Deputy Registrar and all Head of the Departments were present in the Academic Council Meeting.

Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman presented a brief on the overall Academic activities of the university and deans of faculties, controller of examinations and other senior officers represented relevant information and proposals.

The members of Academic Council praised the continuous development and success of Daffodil International University. They also praised that Daffodil International University is now completely computerized and automated. All the premises of DIU have been brought under WIFI facilities and DIU authority has taken a bravery initiative of “One student: One laptop project.
