With great enthusiasm and due respect, Daffodil International University observed 21st February the ‘Amar Ekushey’ and International Mother Language Day and paid tribute the martyrs of the language movement. To mark ‘Amar Ekushey’, the Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day, Daffodil International University chalked out elaborate program including rally, placing floral wreaths to central shaheed minar and discussion session and cultural program at permanent campus of the university at Ashulia. Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil Intrnational Univerity was present in the program as the chief guest while Emeritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam was present as the chief guest.
Early in the morning the students, teachers, Air Rover scouts and officers of the university brought out a rally from the academic building to Central Sheed Minar of the permanent campus and paid tribute through placing floral wreaths to the martyrs of historic Language movement who sacrificed their lives for the recognition of Bangla as one of the state language of erstwhile Pakistan in 1952. The rally was led by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman,Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University.
Presided over by Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director of Permanent campus the discussion session was also attended by Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahabubul Haque Majumder, Dean, FSIT, Prof. Dr. Golam Maowla Choudhury, Controller of Examinations and Proctor, Prof. Dr. Zakir Hossain, Director of Studies, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Studies.Mr. Anil Chandra Paul, Director of Uttara Campus, Mr. Masum Iqbal, Head, BBA Program, Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Assistant Director (Public Relations) and other high officials..
