“The Sweetness of Reunion is the Joy of Heaven” – with this slogan the Alumni Reunion 2018 of the Department of English was held on 8 December 2018 at the Milanayatan 71 of Daffodil International University. Alumni and current students, all faculty members of the department, guests, the Associate Dean and the Dean of Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Md. Sabur Khan attended the program in jovial spirit.
In the first part of the program, the Convener of the Executive Committee Ms. Irina Ishrat and the Dean of Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences Professor A M M Hamidur Rahman welcomed the audience. The respected Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Md. Sabur Khan pointed out the importance of organizing such events which create a bridge between the alumni and current students, and help them out in creating connections supportive in case of jobs and entrepreneurial activities. Md. Rakibul Hasan Khan, the Head of the Department of English, expressed his gratitude and thankfulness to all in his vote of thanks speech.

In the second part of the program, a mesmerizing cultural event was held performed by the alumni and current students. In the midst of the performances, there were short Q/A sessions where the current students asked questions to the alumni to get guidance for their future life. A good number of Alumni shared their views and experiences with the audience. The program came to an end with dinner.
