Every year, the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) with the support of Prime Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkish Exporters Assembly, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, and Istanbul Export Center hold “Turkey World Trade Bridge” seminar since 2005. This year the Trade Bridge seminar was held from June 04 to June 12, 2012 in Istanbul. It is one of the largest gatherings of World Business Leaders. Over 5000 business people from 130 countries of the world participated in this Turkey World Trade Bridge-2012.
This year about 20 Bangladeshi Businessmen from different prominent companies and government high officials of Bangladesh Delegation were teamed up by Turkey Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI). The delegates and prominent businessmen of the different countries participated in the Turkey World Trade Bridge 2012 and exhibited their quality products and hundreds of business contracts were signed. The gathering drew the attention of the visitors in great deal.
The participants started for Istanbul on June 04, 2012 and returned to Dhaka on 11th June 2012. I visited Turkey several times for business purposes as well as for travel purposes, but this time, the experience and the taste was a little bit different which is me being selected as the Bangladeshi delegate’s chief by the Turkish Bangladesh Chamber. Being the delegation chief, I got the opportunity to gain and share lots of experiences and to be introduced with TUSKON, Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and the Minister for Economy. I got the opportunity to be familiar with Turkey and its richness better while establishing partnerships during their visit to the occasion and witnessed the well-known traditional Turkish hospitality.
