A Robotic Soccer Competition, organized by Daffodil International University Robotics Club (DIURC) was held on July 15, 2018 at the big lounge of Daffodil International University.
Professor Dr. Touhid Bhuiyan, Head of Software Engineering Department, DIU distributed prizes among the winners at the closing and the prize giving ceremony as the chief guest.
The competition was arranged on the final match day of the Football World Cup 2018 to boost up the cheer and joy among the students. The competition objective was to score as many goal as possible. Through this competition the students leant how the mobile robot works including electronic circuits, mechanical design, embedded programming and wireless communication.
After a very competitive knock-out round among 10 teams, the champion trophy was lifted by the Team Graviton. The champion team members were Syed Md. Omar Shaikh (CSE) and LokhnathDhar (CSE). On the other hand, the Team EEE23 secured the runner-up position having the team members Abdur Rashid Babu (EEE), Mithu Kumar (EEE), MdAshiqur Rahman (CSE), Rasel Al Mamun (EEE), Siddiqur Rahman (EEE).
The program was conducted by the convener of DIURCKhandker M Qaiduzzaman, Lecturer of Software Engineering Department, DIU. The competition was organized by the president of DIURC, Nimai Chandra Das with the support of other executive members of DIURC.
