Mohamed Emran Hossain, Director (Administration) and Syed Raihan-Ul-Islam, Assistant Director, International Affairs of Daffodil International University (DIU) visited the University of Łódź, Poland & Lodz University of Technology Poland on 2nd October 2019. DIU signed a Memorandum of Understanding for academic collaboration with Lodz University of Technology (TUL) where Ms Dorota Piotrowska, Director of the International Cooperation Centre along with other officials of International Cooperation attended in the meeting. This year DIU and TUL also received Erasmus+ KA107 project funding for students and staff mobility. During the meeting with Prof. Dr Hab. Paweł Starosta, Vice-Rector for Domestic & International Co-operation & Ms. Liliana Lato, Head of International Relations Office, University of Lodz, Poland where they agreed to be a possible partner of DIU for academic exchange under Economics, Law, Mass Communication etc.
Apart from this, DIU delegation visited the oldest university of Lithuania Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University which was established in 1579. Prof. Greta Druteikiene, Pro-rector for Partnership and Raimonda Markeviciene Head of International Office, Vilnius University, Lithuania discussed different research and exchange collaboration possibility as well as Erasmus+ project with DIU. To bring more opportunities for DIU students DIU delegation visited Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), Lithuania which is one of the active academic partners of DIU and met Audra Dargyte Burokiene, Head of International Office along with other officials. MRU offered 2 Erasmus+ scholarships for student & staff exchange from DIU in the year 2020. DIU is always widening its network globally for academic partnerships & more new opportunities.
