A two-day long international workshop entitled Positive Leadership: Developing Social Innovators was held on October 9 &10, 2019 at Daffodil International University (DIU). The workshop was jointly organized by Daffodil International University (DIU) and University for Peace (UPEACE), Costa Rica mandated by the United Nations (UN). The facilitators of the workshop were Mr. Mohit Mukharjee, Founding Director, UPEACE Centre for Executive Education, USA & Costa Rica and Barrister Rizwana Yusuf, Local Representative, South Asia Region, UPEACE Centre for Executive Education. The workshop covers an overview of positive leadership, reflecting on leadership and well-being, unpacking leadership styles, the three steps of social innovation, design thinking for social innovation, empathy, vulnerability and leadership, measuring what matters: your leadership plan.

The closing session of the workshop was graced by Mr. Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif, Honorable Judge, High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor, DIU as chair of session. The closing session was also addressed by Professor Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Dean, FBE, DIU.
