A team of 21 students and 2 faculty members from Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering (NFE) of Daffodil International University are now doing International Internship Program at KISS – Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in Odisha, India from 11 to 18 February 2019. This is a 7 days long program where DIU students are exploring the KISS Mega Kitchen, mass cooking process, nutritional value, energy conservation by steam cooking, use of renewable energy in cooking, green Initiatives etc and prepare the internship project for the final year.

After the warm welcome by KISS management, they visited baking sector and collected the information related to the dough making procedure, baking times, temperatures etc. They made dough and gave the shapes of buns and cookies too. The team experienced brief lecture about boiling plant presented by a teacher of KISS & observed the steam production for understanding the whole procedure. DIU Students also played archer and met a group of students playing music, practicing judo, etc.
