“Meet the Trendsetters: Success Stories of Our DIU English Alumni”

The seminar on Alumni Talk titled “Meet the Trendsetters: Success Stories of Our DIU English Alumni” with the current students of the department was held on May 13, 2019 as scheduled from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Auditorium of DIU. The program was graced by the presence of our Honorable Vice Chancellor: Professor Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, PhD, along with the Director, Adminstration: Mr. Anil Chandra Paul and the faculty members of the department.

The seminar incorporated our own Alumni speakers working at various fields. Our first speaker who joined us virtually was the female freelancer: Ms Tajalli Nur Siddika, working in Sweden as the Portal Developer and Web Designer followed by our speakers working as corporate officials: Mr. Kamruzzan Saif and Ms. Sabita Mehnaj Antora. The former, the founder and editor of an website (timespek.org) is also working as the Content Specialist at Cems-Global while the latter is working as the Quality Analyst at Digicon Technologies followed by her years of experience at Grameenohone.

The next speaker contributing to our economy as a female Entrepreneur in Bangladesh is the owner of Nagomi, A Japanese Aesthetic Saloon. We also had our speaker, the highest achiever of BA (Hons) in English at DIU, representing DIU abroad during her higher study at EFL University, Hyderabad.

The audience also included a good presence of our Alumni who showed their keen interest to strengthen the bond of DIU community as and always possible.
