The Independence Day of Somalia is a national holiday observed annually in Somalia on 1st July. The date celebrates the unification of the Trust Territory of Somalia (the former Italian Somalia) and the State of Somalia (the former British Somaliland) on July 1, 1960, which formed The Federal Republic of Somalia.

The students from Somalia those who are studying in Bangladesh, celebrate this day yearly. Daffodil International Universality hosts this program this year and DIU family is happy to celebrate this day with all the student from Somalia.
