📚 “Towards a Garden of Researchers” with this motto, 3 days long “Virtual Postgraduate Research Summit 2022” has started today on 27 February with around 70 participants from 16 countries of Asia, Africa, Middle East, South and North America. This summit is organized by Dept. of Information Technology & Management, Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh 🇧🇩 and Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia 🇲🇾focusing on Management, Business and Information Systems to create opportunities for early stage MSc/MBA/PhD researchers from around the world to enhance their skills, build a network within a community of peers.

From DIU, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder & Chairman, and Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor graced the occasion as Special Guests along with Dr. Christopher Richardshon, Deputy Dean, Graduate School of Business, USM and Prof. Dr. Sang H. Lee from BRAC Business School, BRAC University. All the distinguished guests have expressed their views on the significance of such an initiative to enrich research collaboration among researchers and participating universities.

On the first day, Dr. Tan Cheng Ling, Associate Professor, Graduate School of Business, USM, conducted a workshop entitled “Research Problem for Applied Business Research” where she mentioned how to identify research problems and the necessary steps to represent research problem in thesis or research paper. Dr. Syed Abidur Rahman, Sr. Lecturer, Huddersfield Business School, University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom conducted the next workshop on “Approaches of Theory Development and Hypothesis Testing” where he demonstrated inductive and deductive theory as well as showed various types of hypothesis, validation techniques and testing approaches. The program is supported by International Affairs, DIU.
