Hey, fellow students! We recently had an extraordinary experience that we can’t wait to share with you all. As part of our academic endeavors, the Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University organized an industry visit to Walton Hi-tech Industries Limited on June 3, 2023. It was an incredible opportunity for us to step out of the classroom and immerse ourselves in a real-world business setting.

With great enthusiasm and curiosity, a group of 80 students, along with our respected faculty members and officials, embarked on this educational adventure. We were fortunate to have Dr. Shibli Shahriar, Associate Professor, DBA, DIU, and Mohammad Ariful Islam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Business Administration, leading us throughout the visit.

Our day at Walton Hi-tech Industries began with a captivating documentary presentation that gave us a glimpse into the company’s rich history, achievements, and innovative technologies. It was fascinating to see how Walton Hi-tech has emerged as one of Bangladesh’s leading conglomerates.

After the documentary, we engaged in interactive discussions and a vibrant question-and-answer session. This allowed us to gain valuable insights and perspectives from industry experts, entrepreneurs, and professionals. We were able to tap into their vast knowledge and experience, and it was inspiring to hear their success stories and the challenges they had overcome.

The highlight of our visit was the opportunity to observe the plant production houses and witness their operations firsthand. Under the guidance of Mr. Md. Kaisar Ul Islam, Sr. Deputy Director, Administration Department, and the assistance of Mr. Muntashir Akib and Mr. Abdul Alim, Sr. Admin Officers, we explored the various aspects of Walton’s manufacturing processes.

As we stepped onto the production floor, we were surrounded by an atmosphere of innovation and efficiency. The scale and precision of the operations left us in awe. We witnessed the meticulous assembly of cutting-edge electronics, the careful quality control measures, and the advanced technological systems that make Walton products stand out in the market.

What truly stood out during our visit was the strong emphasis on research and development. We learned about Walton’s continuous efforts to stay ahead in the industry by investing in new technologies and product innovation. It was inspiring to see how their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction drives their success.

The experience of walking through the production houses allowed us to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application. We could see how concepts we had learned in our marketing and employability courses were put into action within a real business setting. It was a powerful reminder that learning extends beyond textbooks and lectures.

The industry visit to Walton Hi-tech Industries was an eye-opening and enriching experience for all of us. It reinforced the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, enabling us to gain a deeper understanding of the business world. We left with a newfound motivation to excel in our studies and aspire to become future leaders and entrepreneurs.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship, Daffodil International University, for organizing this invaluable opportunity. We extend our thanks to Dr. Shibli Shahriar, Mohammad Ariful Islam, and the staff at Walton Hi-tech Industries Limited for their guidance and hospitality.

As we continue our journey as business students, we carry the memories and lessons from this industry visit, empowering us to approach our studies with a practical mindset. We are now more determined than ever to learn, grow, and make a positive impact on the business world.
