Bangladesh has a long history of enriched culture. Once upon a time, this region was famous for its Muslin. Gradually the era of this significant cloth declined following the dominance of exotic culture. We turned victims of imported products. We had a long tradition of Nouka Biach, Aarong, Palki, Nokshi katha, panta eelish, dhol-dugi. It is good to witness the booming atmosphere of indigenous products.
As the person of new generation of this country, we have to uphold & preserve the image of this country. Post colonial era has undermined our culture to a large extent. Exotic satellite channels have replaced our authenticity. We are turning to the play thing of dish culture.
We have a lot to do. First think is to carry the symbols of this country upon everything. We love our country more than any one. I am hopeful the flamboyant days will come back following the contribution of all. I am optimistic about my belief, as I still see most of the people still celebrate Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year). People wear punjabi, lingi, shari during festivals. Lets croon “Amar sonar Bangla, Ami tomai Bhalobashi…(Oh my golden Bengal, I love you…)”.
